Not a zombie cat, but I may have temporarily acquired a backyard cat again.

Cranberry was having a fit at the back door a few minutes ago. So of course i go and check. And there is this beautiful Tortishell cat at my backdoor trying to get in. So of course because I don't recognize it as one of the neighbour cats I go outside and check. This cat throws itself at me for love and starts purring. Totally covered in knots which makes me believe that this puddy tat is homeless.

Especially with the way it tried to come in even with both Cranberry and Tabitha hissing and growling (I didn't realize Tabitha could growl).

So of course the sucker I am, I gave it some food which it wolfed down like it hadn't eaten in days.

If it's still there I may take a photo in a few. It's a bit late to try and bring it to Toronto Animal Services tonight, but I'm going to keep an eye out for it over the next few days and if it really is a stray, I'll bring it in.

This one doesn't look like the survivor type that my zombie cat was.

Makes me miss my zombie cat. I still miss Snowball a lot.

Well, my munchkin is gone.

Today my wee Snowball headed off to the pet afterword. It sucked but he's not in any pain anymore.

You will be missed.
I hope we were able to make your last year on the planet a comfy and loved one. You were loved.

Don't usually promo events and such in my journal, but this is a charity fashion event for a no kill dog shelter. And the small ones are always short of cash and the doggies need all the help they can get. All proceeds are going to the shelter.

In addition to the fashion show there are also local fashion vendors as well.

So it's this Friday night at Savage Garden....see details below. I'm actually going to the AC/DC show that night, but I'm hoping to drop by on my way home.

So off I go on a trek this morning to the Riverdale Animal Hospital for my wee stray cat Snowball.

He's got a nasty gash on his forehead and well, I just have to do something about it. Sadly the Queen West Vets don't have any appointments available today so off to walk in land I go. So it's trek time for me.

Pape and Danforth.

I hope Snowball likes the subway.

So, went to my parents cottage for a few days to unwind. It was really relaxing except for the chasing after my 13 year old Lab Bear who tried to be a puppy again. At least he doesn't move so fast because of his bad legs.

Anyway, on Saturday afternoon we took him down the the lake so he could have "one Last Paddle" in the water before going home (nobody wants a wet dog in the car).

While we were watching him puddle about in the shallow water this duck lands nearby. It swims closer to Bear and after a few minutes he notices the duck. You could almost see the lightbulb go off in his head "A duck! I am a retriever, I must retrieve the duck!" So he starts in his slow motion way after the duck. So the duck swims slowly just out of reach. Then proceeds to tease the dog for about 45 minutes by swiming closer, then away and leading him around. It was too funny. Thought I did think it strange that the duck showed no fear of a dog.

And I think my mighty duck hunting dog has now been asleep for about 15 hours or so with a meal and pee break to break it up. Poor worn out gimpy dog.
